All six rooms are bright and spacious, featuring thick walls and very high ceilings. Each one is unique and exquisitely decorated with a blend of antique and contemporary furniture, Oaxacan textiles, and works of art.

It is an intimate and cozy room with a king-size bed, decorated with 19th-century antiques.
Mitla
Guests are welcomed by two double beds with brass headboards from the last century and Colonial-era decor items.

Amelia Lara
The hotel is managed by Amelia Lara Tamburrino, who served as Cultural Counselor at the Mexican Embassy in Rome for six years.
She held prominent roles in Mexico’s cultural scene: she was Director of the National Institute of Anthropology and History in Puebla and managed Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City for many years. In Oaxaca, she coordinated the Santo Domingo Cultural Center for 17 years.
"Amelia, a universal Mexican, has lived in the city of Oaxaca for the past 27 years, where she fulfilled a lifelong dream: opening a hotel. Thus, 20 years ago, La Casona de Tita was born, and since its opening, it has been carefully overseen by her, known in Oaxaca as the quintessential hostess."
